There’s a reason France continues to top the travel wish lists year after year — and in 2025, it’s more desirable than ever. From sun-drenched countryside escapes to scenic coastal beauty and the iconic elegance of Paris, France offers a refined blend of culture, cuisine, and charm that’s hard to beat.
Today’s travellers are looking for more than just five-star hotels. They want stories. Whether it’s a private wine tasting in Bordeaux, sailing along the Côte d’Azur, or discovering Paris by night, France delivers experiences that feel intimate, immersive, and incredibly chic.
Paris : Skip the clichés and step into the city’s quieter elegance. Think private gallery tours in Le Marais, sipping Champagne on a hidden rooftop terrace, and staying in a former townhouse turned five-star hideaway. This is Paris for the culturally curious and fashion-forward.
Provence : Trade the crowds for countryside calm. Wander through sun-drenched vineyards with a private sommelier, explore farmers’ markets with a local chef, and unwind in a centuries-old stone farmhouse where rustic charm meets understated luxury.
The French Riviera : The Riviera isn’t just glitz — it’s golden-hour cruises past pastel harbours, poolside lunches at cliffside villas, and wandering coastal towns with a personal guide. Whether you’re in Saint-Tropez or tucked away in Èze, it’s glamour with soul.
Bordeaux : This is wine country reimagined. Stay in chic vineyard estates, enjoy private tastings at iconic châteaux, and dine in candlelit cellars where every course is paired to perfection. It’s where tradition meets timeless indulgence.
Lyon : Where serious foodies come to play. Beyond its Michelin stars, Lyon is a city of hidden bouchons, vibrant riverside markets, and an energy that fuses classic French savoir-faire with a modern creative pulse.
Burgundy : Unhurried and utterly refined. Base yourself at COMO Le Montrachet, surrounded by rolling vines and storied villages. Here, tastings are led by sommeliers who’ve mastered their craft — and every glass comes with a view worth lingering over.
We specialise in social-first luxury travel, which means we keep our finger on the pulse of what’s trending — and bring that knowledge directly to you. When you book with us, expect:
Whether it’s a chic Parisian weekend, a vineyard-hopping road trip, or a summer escape to the Riviera, France offers luxury with soul — and it’s waiting for you.

To mark World Penguin Day 2025, we thought we’d dive into some of the world’s best luxury resorts and holidays where you can see these endearing creatures for yourself.
Penguins can’t fly, but you can fly to see them! From close to home to totally off-grid, here are Travel Seen’s Penguin Day-inspired places to visit…
Our first penguin-stop is the luxurious boutique Last Word Long Beach Hotel; Cape Town’s only 5-Star hotel to be located right on the beach.
Here the super-spacious, elegant rooms and suites all have an outdoor area for enjoying the views. And Last Word is ideally set behind one of South Africa’s best surf beaches if surfing is your vibe.
Just 15 minutes drive away on Boulders Beach in Simons Town is where you’ll find the few thousand African penguins who call this stretch of coast their home. Amble (or waddle!) along the boardwalks, kayak across the shore, or if you’re feeling really brave you can swim among the penguins in the cool Atlantic waters.
Yes, you read that correctly; our second luxury hotel celebrating World Penguin Day 2025 is in Hawaii!
At the 40-acre Hyatt Regency Maui on Ka‘anapali Beach, you’ll find all the usual AAA Four Diamond-rated hotel offerings; think pool, spa and fine dining restaurants.
But head to the Atrium Lobby and you’ll have the opportunity to meet the resort’s resident African Black-Footed Penguins too! The endangered species were reared onsite, and guests can watch them play and feed in their dedicated home at the heart of the resort.
This award-winning, 50-room lodge offers its guests an epic place to stay in the heart of the Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, Chile, with an all-inclusive stay including more than 40 expeditions.
And if you’ve made it this far, why not look at adding a Tierra del Fuego Expedition to your Patagonian journey? Explora has the “Journey to the End of the World” itinerary, which ventures across the Strait of Magellan (a natural passage between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans) and stops to observe the island’s colony of king penguins.
The ultimate penguin experience has to be on a Silversea Cruise to Antarctica. Board one of their luxury Silver ships and set sail for an adventure into the frozen south on an otherworldly travel experience.
On a three-week cruise you could be lucky enough to see rockhopper penguins in the Falkland Islands; macaroni and king emperor penguins in South Georgia; and Adelie penguins on the Antarctic Peninsular. Thanks to the ship’s Zodiac boats, your expedition leaders will ensure you get up close to the penguins so you can photograph and observe, but without disturbing them.
Finally we thought we’d finish with a penguin hotel which doesn’t require visas, long-haul flights or expedition kit… The Penguin House at Pairi Daiza zoo in Belgium.
Regularly voted Europe’s best zoo, the Resort is home to The Penguin House, an interactive accommodation experience where your room is set beside the resident penguins’ ice floe!
Family rooms in The Penguin House offer a face-to-face view, with bunk style beds, floor-to-ceiling windows into the penguins’ underwater world, and even a bathroom with views of the penguin tank from the bath!
Regardless of whether your passion is for penguins or something entirely different, our experts will make your travel aspirations a reality with a personally crafted itinerary. Drop Atlas, our nifty Travel Butler a message with your requirements and a member of our team will be in touch soon with a bespoke quote.

Luxury train travel is a holiday experience unlike any other.
Most holidays are built around squeezing as much time out of the holiday itself as possible, reducing the amount of travel to get you to your destination quickly and efficiently.
But on a luxury train trip, it’s the travel that’s the showpiece, with itineraries that allow the journey to go at a pace where you can soak up the views and maximise the amount of destinations you visit. Plus, it’s a great way to really get into the heart of a country, or indeed travel across multiple countries, without needing to clock up additional air miles.
What’s more, choosing a luxury train holiday adds all the bells and whistles to ensure you travel in style; like you’re own private cabin, butler service, Michelin-star menus and champagne on tap. It’s a glamorous way to travel, appealing to those who seek a gentler rhythm to their holidays, in an atmosphere that’s convivial and social.
Tempted? We’ve rounded up 10 of the world’s best luxury trains to add to your travel bucket list:
A great way to slow travel through Peru, the pace of the Andean Explorer allows you the time to absorb your environment and soak up world-class views. The journey on South America’s first luxury train will take you to see Lake Titicaca, UNESCO-listed Arequipa and the ancient capital of Cusco. Belmond luxuries include the train’s very own Spa Car.
It’s for good reason this Canadian train journey finds its way onto so many a bucket list. After all, you’ll be treated to astonishing views of the landscape from the viewing platform; an itinerary that immerses you in the history, wildlife and sights of the Rockies; and dining that focuses on locality and a sense of place with every menu.
A name synonymous with luxury travel, step aboard the elegant carriages for a European journey steeped in history. You’ll experience Midnight Brunch, a romantic private cabin or suite, and itineraries that wend their way through Europe’s finest capitals and favourite cities for an unforgettable adventure.
Rovos Rail celebrates the golden age of travel with itineraries that take its guests on “train safaris through the heart of Africa”. There are options to stop at Victoria Falls, at a conservancy to see the Big Five, and in the scenic Winelands. Dining is a formal affair, with guests embracing the old school glamour of the dining cars in how they dress for evening meals.
One of the world’s leading luxury trains, the Maharajas’ Express is an elegant, timeless way to experience some of India’s most cherished sites, including Amber Fort, the Taj Mahal and the Ranthambore National Park. This multi-award-winning train is a great option for those inspired to explore India, but who want an easier, quicker and seamless way of getting around than other modes of transport.

Pondering whether to book all-inclusive for your next luxury break? Here at Travel Seen we’ve dived into the world of all-inclusive luxury holidays to offer you our expert insight into fully-comprehensive getaways.
Plus, keep scrolling to the end of the page for a behind-the-scenes peek at the all-inclusive Ikos Resorts group as it celebrates ten years. We’re helping to mark the occasion with our very own Travel Seen Ikos Andalusia offer!
For some travellers, booking all-inclusive is the only way to travel. While for others, it’s just one type of holiday to enjoy.
Regardless of which camp you fall into, the benefits of all-inclusive remain:
Of course this will vary depending on the resort. Ikos Resorts for example offers a wealth of extra special additional inclusions that go beyond full-board dining and kids’ clubs (read more about that below).
But as standard at most all-inclusive properties you can expect the following (in addition to the usual facilities, beach and pool access etc.):
All-inclusive hotels and resorts come into their own and offer the very best value in two situations: where the resort is remote and when your ultimate aim is to switch off.
At far-flung resorts, such as those in the Maldives, choosing all-inclusive is often the best board basis – as your options in-resort are entirely limited to what’s on site, so you can’t opt for different places to eat out for example.
All-inclusive is also the best option when you want to seriously chill. For families it’s a great choice for kids, as younger ones can make the most of the kids’ club facilities and picky eaters have plenty of dining choice; while older children can revel in all the sports activities and included amenities.
If you’re on a holiday for two, not having to think about a thing maximizes your free time to enjoy each other’s company and truly unwind. And if it’s a honeymoon you’re booking, all-inclusive allows you to stay within the budget of your wedding guests’ generosity without additional expense.
For the past decade the luxury travel industry has heralded Ikos Resorts for their ultimate all-inclusive offering.
Launching in 2015 with their hallmark hotel, the Ikos Olivia in Halkidiki, Greece, Ikos has grown to offer a number of exclusive European retreats which redefine “luxury all-inclusive”. In fact, at Ikos Resorts, it’s called Unconditional Luxury!
That means that alongside the à la carte menus created by Michelin-star chefs, sommelier-selected wines, and included kids’ clubs; you’ll also get a number of indulgent extras. Examples include: pool and beach butler service, a Tesla to explore the coast, an in-room mini-bar, and two lovely additions to allow exploration of the area: Local Discovery and Dine Out.
Sound good? Check out Travel Seen’s All-Inclusive Ikos Andalusia Offer! Or speak to a member of the team for a bespoke luxury all-inclusive package designed just for you.

Having surged in popularity in the past year, the world’s fastest growing sport* is now taking a holiday. And by that we mean a 5-star holiday!
Luxury resorts are offering everything from padel coaching to organised tournaments, interspersed with all the high-end comforts of a lavish getaway.
With this in mind, here at Travel Seen we thought we’d dive into the padel craze with all you need to know about the game; as well as offering our very own, exclusive:
What is padel and why is it so popular?
A racquet sport played on a court about two thirds the size of a traditional tennis court, padel is like a mixture between tennis and squash.
With a net in the middle, players can bounce the ball (which is smaller than a tennis ball) off the walls of the enclosed court, using their solid racquet.
You play in doubles and the idea is to get a good rally going to give the padel game some pace – which makes it all very social and certainly one of the reasons why it’s so popular.
It’s a game that’s easy to pick up – particularly if you’re familiar with tennis or squash – and this supports it’s rise in status.
What’s more, celebrities the world over from Eva Longoria to David Beckham, have been picking up their padel racquets and taking to social media to promote their love for the support; which has certainly done wonders for padel’s PR.
“I jumped on the padel bandwagon last year and have totally fallen in love with the sport,” says Travel Seen Founder Jen Atkinson.
“Padel feels like the new golf – in that it’s a sport you’d happily centre a holiday around.
“Rather than just flopping on a beach, it gives you an activity with likeminded people that nurtures your physical and mental health. Thus creating an experiential holiday – which is a key travel trend for 2025 and beyond.
“Because I’m time poor, what I find hard is getting a group together for a padel holiday.
“If someone organised a tournament, some padel coaching, all at a luxury resort with plenty of sunshine, great food and accommodation; well, that’s the dream.”
Jen, your wish is our command: CHECK OUT TRAVEL SEEN’S LUXURY PADEL PACKAGE HERE!
Short-haul Portugal is a year-round favourite destination for British luxury travellers, so when we were looking for the perfect spot for our exclusive padel package, we looked no further.
This 3-night getaway from 15th to 18th May 2025 will see you staying at the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura on a half board basis. May is a dreamy time to visit Portugal, with temperatures hovering around 23C – ideal for playing padel.
Flights have been budgeted from Manchester airport (and the package includes transfers). But other airports can be arranged.
The trip includes coaching and a tournament within your group at the Vilamoura Tennis and Padel Academy, with time for you to enjoy the resort’s luxury facilities too, which include direct access to Vilamoura Beach and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
If you’ve got kids in tow, Portugal has many resorts ideal for families which also boast their own padel courts.
Quinto do Lago is a fab option for active kids, with The Campus featuring four outdoor padel courts equipped with the latest technology and court floodlights, as well as two indoor Padel courts for year-round play.
Martinhal Sagres is another excellent option. It has indoor and outdoor heated pools and free use of the tennis and two glass paddle courts in winter, which you’ll find at the Club 98 Sports Centre. The Martinhal’s padel courts are kept in tournament condition, and all equipment including rackets and balls can be rented on site. There is even a Padel Academy for 12-16 year olds.

In a world that glorifies fast-paced itineraries and jam-packed schedules, slow travel is a breath of fresh air. It’s not about cramming in as many sights as possible—it’s about immersing yourself in a destination, soaking up its culture, and forming meaningful connections with the people and places you encounter.
Slow travel encourages travellers to move at a relaxed pace, opting for longer stays in one place rather than rushing from city to city. It’s about experiencing a destination through the eyes of a local, indulging in authentic cuisine, wandering through hidden alleyways, and allowing spontaneity to guide the journey. This mindful approach not only reduces stress but also fosters a deeper appreciation for the world.
So where are the best destinations for embracing slow travel?
The rolling vineyards, mediaeval villages, and sun-drenched landscapes of Tuscany make it a dream destination for slow travellers. Spend your days meandering through charming towns like Montepulciano or San Gimignano, savouring long lunches with a glass of Chianti, and taking leisurely bike rides through the countryside.
A city steeped in tradition, Kyoto invites visitors to embrace a slower rhythm. Stroll through bamboo forests in Arashiyama, witness the changing seasons at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and sip matcha in a centuries-old teahouse. Kyoto’s emphasis on mindfulness and simplicity makes it the perfect place to pause and reflect.
While often associated with bustling summer crowds, Santorini offers a different charm in the off-season. Stay in a cliffside villa, watch the sun set over the caldera without the rush, and take the time to explore its lesser-known villages like Pyrgos and Megalochori, where traditional Greek life unfolds at an unhurried pace.
Nestled in the heart of Bali, Ubud is a haven for those seeking a more intentional way of travelling. Wake up to the sounds of nature, spend your mornings practising yoga in a jungle retreat, and fill your days with slow walks through rice paddies, temple visits, and soul-nourishing Balinese cuisine.
For those craving a remote escape, the Scottish Highlands offer a rugged and tranquil retreat. Drive along winding roads at your own pace, explore ancient castles, and cosy up in a countryside inn with a book and a dram of whisky. The beauty of the Highlands lies in their ability to make time feel irrelevant.
Slow travel isn’t just a way to explore—it’s a mindset. It’s about cherishing the journey, embracing the unexpected, and allowing yourself to truly be present. So, where will your slow adventure take you next? If you are looking to plan your next trip, please call us on 0333 305 9912.

Bookend your travels with a luxury airport lounge and you’ll start and finish your holiday in style.
After all, the journey is just as important as the destination.
To inspire your next getaway, below we’ve listed Travel Seen’s top five airport lounges, featuring everywhere from Qatar to the Caribbean. Plus our suggestions of what to wear while you’re lounging in luxury…
Located in the Upper Class Wing of Terminal 3 at London Heathrow Airport, Virgin Atlantic’s Clubhouse has a comfy, laidback vibe. The menus here work for whatever time of day you’re travelling, with hearty breakfasts, light lunches, scrumptious afternoon teas and elegant dinner dining served alongside an excellent drinks and cocktails menu. There’s even a children’s menu for young VIPs offering a good selection of kid-friendly faves that includes a yummy chicken curry.
If you’re using the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse that means you’re travelling long-haul, so comfort is key. We suggest this cotton Celine hoodie to keep you cosy when the temperature drops at higher altitudes during your flight, and which is super comfy and forgiving for travelling in.
The Al Mourjan Business Lounge South at Doha Airport has the feel of a luxury resort, making it a restful stop while you’re waiting for your connecting flight, or on your way home. Food options range from a deli to à la carte dining, and there is excellent provision for families which includes a children’s nursery and private areas with their own couch and widescreen TV.
Visitors should be mindful of local customs when visiting Qatar, and dress appropriately. A modest dress option for your visit to the Doha airport lounge is this ME + EM dress, which is light and cool for the Middle Eastern temperatures, but respectfully covers your shoulders and knees.
Hong Kong airport is a common stop for UK travellers heading east, and luckily it has The Pier to add some layover luxury to the journey. This superior lounge experience offers an in-house spa, cocktail bar, shower suites, The Retreat (private suites where you can relax with a drink and view of the runway), and the elegant Dining Room with its fancy à la carte menu.
Match the vibe of chic luxury at The Pier wearing these wide leg trousers from Reiss in a fresh lemon shade. The timeless tailoring makes them comfy for travelling in but smart enough for this luxury lounge experience. Ideal for a post-dinner wander around Hong Kong airport’s Sky Garden in the sunshine.
The VIP airport lounge at Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic has plenty to recommend it. But the stand out feature? An infinity pool with views of the runway… just the ticket for squeezing every last bit of Caribbean sunshine out of your holiday!
Don’t forget to pop your swimsuit into your hand luggage when flying through Punta Cana! We love this classic, sculpting, one-shoulder Eres swimsuit. It’s perfect to wear to capture an airport lounge, Insta-worthy shot of you watching the planes landing whilst swimming in the VIP infinity pool.
Regardless of airline or class of travel, all passengers can access the Vienna Lounge at Vienna Airport’s Terminal 1 for an additional cost.
Named the world’s best airport lounge, it boasts views of the airfield, artwork from world-renowned artists including Klimt, a family area, and of course excellent dining options, with Austrian wines to boot!
Taking you seamlessly from your luxury Vienna hotel, to the airport lounge and then the plane, we love this classic black women’s bomber jacket from Austrian designer Helmut Lang. Its soft, “lived in” feel makes it great for travelling in, and its roomy, utility shape ensures there’s space for layering.
Inspired by this collection of the world’s most luxurious airport lounges? Don’t forget that your Travel Seen specialist can pre-book your lounge access as part of your 5-star holiday package. Call us on 0333 305 9912.
