    Inside Look

What we love: Private pools in selected suites & villas

Options for accommodation come in the form of 177 casita-style guest rooms, 31 suites and 32 residences and villas for extra space.

Designed in low-rise Mexican-style houses, the accommodation has a homely feel reflective of local culture, with all those Four Seasons details you’d expect from the 5-star group; like branded coffee makers, air conditioning, oversized bathrooms, signature toiletries and pillow menus. And each has its own outdoor space too in the form of a balcony or terrace with views of the beach, gardens, ocean or islands.

A selection of suites and villas have their own pool while the Two-Bedroom Bunk Bed Family Casitas are ideally set amid the child-friendly amenities for families.

    Taste the Luxury

What we love: Watching the sun set from the bar with a margarita

The four exemplary restaurants at the resort are headed up by executive chef Jorge Gonzalez who weaves Mexican specialities and flavours through the menus of the al fresco eateries.

Aramara offers Asian cuisine but through the use of local ingredients; Bahia by Richard Sandoval boasts seafood and meats in a beachside setting that’s popular with families; slick Dos Catrinas Restaurant is a true taste of Mexico, with the bar here one of the best places at the resort to catch the sunset; healthy eating including plant-based dishes are on the menu at Tamai; or fuel up before a round on the course at the Tail of the Whale Clubhouse.

Don’t miss the fire each evening at the Shack Bar, or catch a game at Nuna Bar with a tequila-based cocktail.

    Immerse Yourself

What we love: The two secluded beaches

Located in the northern area of the Bay of Banderas, the resort is a 45 minute transfer from the international airport at Puerto Vallarta.

Set within 400 acres of natural reserve on its own private peninsular overlooking the bay, the resort has plenty to explore on site; two secluded beaches, two golf courses and surf lessons on the Pacific waves to name a few.

Nearby you can take a hike up Cerro del Mono (Monkey Hill) for tropical paths and views of the bay; Lo de Perla Jungle Gardens is the place to go for nature-lovers with its orchid-filled rainforest trails, just 45 minutes from the resort; or ask concierge about transfers to La Cruz Sunday Market to pick up souvenirs and locally created artworks and prints.
